Hepatitis- Inflammation of the liver is known as Hepatitis. There are 5 types of Hepatitis: Hep A, Hep B, Hep C, Hep D, and Hep E
Jaundice, Fatigue, Nausea/ vomiting, Fever, Abdominal pain (mostly upper right-sided), Loss of appetite, Light-Coloured stools, Joint pain, and Dark-Coloured urine.
The most common causes of Hepatitis in the United States are various viruses (such as Hepatitis A, B, C, and dengue virus), certain medications, alcohol, and fatty liver.
Hepatitis A and E are often contracted from unsterile food and water that are already contaminated with the virus.
Hepatitis B and C are essentially blood-borne viruses. For example, mother to newborn during pregnancy and childbirth, during sexual intercourse, sharing needles while using drugs, and receiving already contaminated blood during blood transfusions
Hepatitis D only infects a patient who already has hepatitis B. It can cause more severe forms of liver damage and requiresadditional treatment in addition to hepatitis B treatment
